Step up to a live, glass-enclosed hive and watch thousands of honey bees at work. Look closely to find the queen—marked with a colored dot—as she moves through the colony.

Meet the American Honey Queen

The 2026 American Honey Queen, Delanie Craighead, will be on-site during the Fair, sharing her passion for bees and pollinator education. A graduate of the University of California, Davis with a background in animal biology and entomology, Delanie brings knowledge, energy, and a love of insects to every interaction.
