Job Opportunities
WELCOME TO THE CLARK COUNTY FAIR JOBS PAGE - 2013
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
We are no longer taking applications for 14 and 15 Year Olds.
I am sad to report that the WA State and USDOL have restrictions on the number of consecutive days in a week that 14 and 15 year olds are able to work. The law states that 14 and 15 year olds in a non-agriculture job can only work 6 days then have a full day off and then repeat that schedule. This law is designed to protect young people and they are only doing what is mandated by citizens to protect the rights of children. I understand that and support them in that task.
However, for 10 days that presents too many challenges and obstacles to scheduling, shift control and payroll. Therefore we will only be hiring those 16 and older. I apologize for any personal inconvenience this may cause you. We did apply for a waiver but, that wavier was not and could not be granted by present law. Thanks.
